Dubai Frame vs Museum of the Future: Which Is Better?

This is a very common question that visitors ask when they have only few days in Dubai and they cannot cover everything. Both places are new, both look amazing in photos and both are not far from each other, so people get confused which one to choose. Now the thing is that they are not the same type of attraction at all, and once you understand what each one offers, the decision becomes much easier.

The Dubai Frame is in Zabeel Park and it shows you the story of the city, from old Dubai to new Dubai, with a viewing bridge at 150 metres. The Museum of the Future is on Sheikh Zayed Road, the oval silver building with Arabic writing on it, and it is more about technology, space and how life can look in the coming years.

1. What You Actually Get

At the Frame you start with a small gallery about old Dubai, then go up to the sky bridge with the glass floor, and see Deira on one side and Downtown with Burj Khalifa on the other side. The Museum of the Future is a full indoor experience with different floors, where you walk through a space station setup, a nature and biology section, and interactive rooms where kids can touch and play with things. So if you want views, the Frame does the job, and if you want an experience inside, then the museum is better.

2. Cost and Tickets

When its about budget, there is a big difference. Dubai Frame tickets are around AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children, while kids under 3 go free. On the other side, museum of the future tickets were AED 169 for everyone aged 4 and above. Let me tell you one important thing here, the museum is closed since 1 September 2026 for a big revamp and will reopen in 2027 with new experiences, so the price can change. Better to check the official website before you plan.

3. Time and Timings

The Dubai Frame takes around one to one and a half hour and it is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, so you can easily fit it in the evening around sunset. The museum needs two to three hours, and before the closure it was open from 10 AM to 7 PM with last entry at 5 PM. Since its a longer visit, my suggestion is to keep a half day for it. Dubai Frame Map address can be found here.

4. Which One Should You Pick

Suppose you are on a tight budget or you want something quick with good photos, then go for the Frame and book your Dubai Frame tickets online to skip the queue. But if you are travelling with kids who like science, or you are someone who enjoys technology, then wait for the reopening and book your museum of the future tickets in advance, because slots usually sell out on weekends.

At the end of the day, both places are worth visiting and they don't really compete with each other.
