Arc Raiders PvE Population Split Under the U4GM Lens

Arc Raiders' limited PvE matchmaking test creates a separate queue for players who want to fight ARC machines without taking damage from other Raiders, but it does not establish a permanent PvE mode. JcE means player versus environment, commonly shortened to PvE in English. Equipment choices involving ARC Raiders Items still need to account for machine attacks, reduced loot value, and restricted map conditions.

How does the PvE queue split the player population

The test gives players a matchmaking toggle between standard PvPvE sessions and PvE sessions. PvPvE combines machine encounters with the possibility of combat against other players. Keeping both queues available lets players choose their preferred experience, while also dividing the people available to fill each type of session.

That division matters most in regions with fewer players and during quiet hours, when queue times may increase. Solo players, duos, and trios can enter the same PvE session, so choosing PvE does not mean choosing a lobby limited to your own group size. Your PvPvE matchmaking rating is unaffected by playing in the test, and you can switch back to standard matchmaking during its scheduled window.

The test associated with update 2.1.0 is scheduled to run from 11:00 CEST on October 13, 2026, until 11:00 CEST on October 20, 2026. Those dates define the limited experiment; they are not a promise that the option will remain available afterward.

What changes when other Raiders cannot damage you

Players cannot damage one another in PvE sessions, and stun and fire throwables have no effect on other players. Barricades and ziplines retain their physical functions. Encounters with other Raiders therefore lose the threat of direct player damage, while shared spaces and equipment still allow interaction.

ARC machines remain dangerous, including when you are downed. Machines will not acquire a downed player during an eight-second grace period. After that period, moving can cause them to target and attack you again, while staying still allows them to ignore you. Removing player damage does not remove the need to manage machine threats or arrange help from your squad.

This changes the tension of a raid. In standard matchmaking, another Raider may cooperate or attack, and that uncertainty affects your decisions. PvE removes the direct damage risk from that encounter, making machine combat the main combat threat.

Loot and availability affect which queue to choose

Overall loot value is reduced in the PvE test to account for the lower threat from other players. That gives the queue a meaningful tradeoff: you can focus on machine encounters, but you should not expect the same loot value as standard sessions.

PvE matchmaking is unavailable for Night Raid, Locked Gate, Hidden Bunker, Frigate, and Redirection during the test. Choose standard matchmaking when one of those conditions is central to your intended run. For an eligible PvE session, choose your equipment around the machines you expect to face and the reduced rewards, rather than treating the absence of player damage as protection from every threat.

Will the population remain divided after the test

A permanent split is not promised. The scheduled plan removes the toggle when the test ends and restores the normal matchmaking arrangement. Feedback and gameplay data will inform whether PvE returns, and any future version could have different rules.

The decision involves more than demand for cooperative play. Separate queues can change waiting times, the game economy, and the uncertainty that shapes standard raids. The test provides a way to assess those effects before committing to two lasting experiences.

During the scheduled window, select the PvE toggle for an eligible session and check that your chosen condition supports it before committing your kit. Any decision to buy ARC Raiders Items should follow that queue choice and your equipment needs, with the test's reduced loot value factored into your preparation.
