Once you've cleared that section, it makes sense to move north and hit a few more key spots. Even if you don't get exactly what you're looking for, these areas have enough loot to make the run worthwhile, so you're rarely leaving empty-handed.
If you want a change of pace or Buried City feels too busy, The Blue Gate is a decent backup.
